The Big Ten Network is producing its own awards show, aptly titled “The Big Ten Awards”. Fans can even vote on a couple of topics including Best Play and Best Coach.
Here is their video highlighting the “Play of the Year” nominees. Mike is nominated in this category for that fabulous TD run against Purdue that happens to be my favorite play of his senior season.
Find more information on the Big Ten Awards here, and be sure to cast your vote for H20.
The “Big Ten Awards Show” airs tomorrow, June 20, at 10 p.m. ET on The Big Ten Network that I still don’t get. Comcast just reached a deal with the network today, though.

I know I’ve been promising this for a while, so I’m finally getting to it!
I took the NFL Network’s coverage of the combine and cut out Mike’s parts. And since the hosts/analysts were seldom talking about him as he was doing his thing, I just put one of my favorite songs over the video instead. Enjoy!

In a new interview with the Detroit Free Press, Mike had the following to say with regards to his transition to the NFL:
The only surprise is it’s not as tough as I thought it was going to be, as far as practice and those type of things. It’s more laid back.”
Mike explains that the emphasis the rookies is on teaching and learning the new system, so practices aren’t as intense as he thought they’d be. I’m sure the intensity will come with next month’s training camp in Terre Haute, IN.
It’s very nice to see that Mike is faring well with the Colts. We haven’t seen that many new articles from him since he reported to Indy.
Mike spoke to the Freep from an autograph signing in Flint (I did not know about that one, so couldn’t give a head’s up. Sorry!) Click here for another write-up and a video from the event, courtesy of NBC25.

There has been much talk about the number of talkbacks the Colts have on their roster. Mike Hart was drafted in April and the team signed Dom Rhodes last month.
Things might have been getting a little crowded, so the team dealt Luke Lawton to the Philadelphia Eagles for a future draft pick. This move was made on the heels of a very well-written Colts.com feature published just 9 days ago.
This likely doesn’t make the competition for the final roster spots any easier — far from it — but it does give a bit of clarity to the overall running back picture for the team. Best of luck to Luke in The City of Brotherly Love.
