He shared an update on his knee injury via his blog:

I’m sure all of you have heard by now that I tore my ACL in the game against Baltimore a few weeks back. If you saw me walking around right now, you wouldn’t even know that I was hurt. Right now I am able to walk around fine and normally people can’t even move around because of the swelling but I haven’t had any of that and I am even ready to get my surgery next week. Normally you need to wait at least three to four weeks but because I haven’t had much swelling, the doctors have cleared me to get the surgery and then start rehabbing. The recovery process moves much faster I am told if you don’t have much swelling so I hope that is true. I haven’t had much pain but it just feels weird right now.

If you were wondering how it happened, it was in a game where I finally started seeing the field as a running back because Joe Addai unfortunately was injured in the game as well. I had picked up a big first down that led to a touchdown on the previous series and I was excited on the next series to make something else happen. I caught a pass in the flat and turned it up field and gained about eighteen yards and then I was trying to make a move on the safety to get even more and my knee just popped. It was a moved I have made a thousand times or correct that, a million times and it didn’t even look that bad on film but my foot just got caught wrong on the turf and just popped.

Thank you to everyone that has posted on here and has expressed their concern for me and just know that I am doing well considering. I really liked that pumpkin, I need one of those for my front porch! I will keep you guys updated on the surgery, I don’t know when my next post will be but I won’t keep you hanging for long. Glad to hear things are going smoothly so far!

This was Mike’s freshman season for the Wolverines and he had a big game. It’s interesting to watch some of this game and see him be referred to as “Michael”. They also supply nuggets that the hardcore fan already knows about, which include his recruitment and upbringing.

If you get the Big Ten Network, be sure to tune in and watch the Wolverines top the Spartans in triple overtime. It airs next at 5PM (ET).

I renewed a week in advance so that there was no chance of things going wrong. At least that’s what I thought I was doing. The registrar screwed things up anyway. They charged my card for the renewal, but didn’t mark it as successfully renewed.

So I fought with technical support for about a week before things were straightened out. I’d move the domain to someplace else, like GoDaddy, if I weren’t terrified they’d mess that up too and cause me to lose the domain all together!

In any case, I’m back although there isn’t much to report with Mike’s injury having ended his season.

It’s an ACL injury, but there aren’t many specifics about it at this point.

Addai is also out for the Colts, however, not for the entire season. To give the team some depth Chad Simpson — who was signed to the practice squad — was moved to the roster, and Clifton Dawson was re-signed.

Extremely tough break for Mike. Hoping he has a speedy recovery.

Hart, the Colts’ third-string back, could miss significant time after injuring his right knee in the second quarter.

“It looks like it could be significant,” Dungy said. “I’m always hesitant to say that, but it really does look like it’s going to be awhile on Mike.”

Dungy says Hart will have an MRI exam, and his prognosis could leave the Colts with only one healthy back, Dominic Rhodes. Dungy indicated the Colts will likely sign another running back this week, which could be undrafted rookie Chad Simpson, who is now on the practice squad.

The Peyton Manning/Marvin Harrison Express was in full effect, connecting twice for the Colts. Manning also hit Reggie Wayne for score.

But it was not done without a couple of injuries to the RB stable. Starter Joseph Addai went down early in the game with a hamstring injury, as did Mike who sustained a right knee injury in the 2nd quarter. Dom Rhodes carried the load for the rest of the game and ran in a TD in the 3rd quarter.

I was waiting to do this post to see if a little more info would become available on Mike’s knee. While still not much, Coach Dungy had the following to say after the game:

“We don’t know the extent of it, but right now, it doesn’t look great.”

Here’s to hoping Mike will be all right!

Several of Mike’s classmates will also be in attendance at the Big House, including Jake Long and Mario Manningham.

Wonder what it’s going to be like for Mike to see another player in his old #20 jersey!

The Colts lost 23-21 to the Jags; a game decided in the final seconds of the game. The Colts didn’t stop them from charging down the field and getting into field goal range and ultimately stealing the win from them. They also had trouble defending the Jax rushing attack.

Mike did not get any carries at RB.

Next week is the Colts’ bye week. Hopefully they’ll be able to work on some things, make some adjustments, and try to get the team healthy for their next game.

The Colts staged an impressive come-from-behind road win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. After being held scoreless in the first half, the team put 18 points on the board to top Minnesota by a final score of 18-15. [GAME STATS]

Since I did not have power, I haven’t seen the game. I’m assuming Mike did not play as he is not listed in any of the team stats. No worries, though. His time will come!
